Abstract:

Cotton is a highly valued, widely used, and versatile natural fiber in the global textile industry. It offers exceptional comfort, durability, and excellent dye affinity at an affordable cost. The various scouring and bleaching agents available in the market can significantly impact the comfort properties of cotton fabrics. Evaluating these comfort properties is crucial in determining the fabric’s overall quality for consumer use or its serviceability. Therefore, it is essential to examine how the comfort properties of cotton fabric, treated with lemon peel extract, are affected by washing. This study aims to explore the influence of washing on the comfort properties of finished cotton fabrics to assess their durability and performance.
