The present study was conducted to evaluate the growth performance of Mewari chicken and its crosses under intensive system of rearing. The growth performance with respect to body weights at day old, 2, 4, 8 and 20 weeks of age of Mewari and its crosses under intensive system of rearing were studied. The body weights at 0, 2 and 4 weeks of age were significantly (P<0.05) highest in BNR (40.41, 134.91 and 302.67 g) followed by BN, RNR, RN and lowest in Mewari except the day-old body weight in RNR was significantly higher than the BN cross. The body weights at 8 and 20 weeks of age were significantly (P<0.05) highest in BN (788.18 and 2165.48 g) followed by BNR, RNR, RN and lowest in Mewari. The body weights were significantly (P<0.05) higher in males as compared to females.
