This research paper examines the level of adoption of modern communication media among farmers in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. With rapid advancements in agricultural communication technologies, the study aimed to assess how effectively these tools are utilized at the grassroots level. A total of 400 farmers were selected using a multistage random sampling method, and data were collected through a structured interview schedule covering mobile communication tools, broadcast media, internet-based services, and precision agriculture technologies. The findings revealed that 48.00% of respondents had low adoption, 37.50% showed medium adoption, and only 14.50% demonstrated high adoption of modern communication media. While mobile phones and televisions were commonly used, advanced tools like agricultural apps, web-based services, and smart farming equipment were rarely adopted. The study highlights the digital divide within rural farming communities and emphasizes the need for localized ICT training, improved digital infrastructure, and inclusive extension strategies to improve digital adoption in agriculture.
