Rural women form the backbone of the agricultural labour force across much of the developing world. The study was conducted in Bhopal district (M.P.)" to identify the constraints faced by the women in farming and allied activities. A total of 80 respondents were chosen randomly for the study. The study revealed that health problem followed by lack of knowledge and skills and availability of low cost labour were the major constraints in practicing agriculture.
