Bioefficacy of some pesticides against new invasive black thrips (Thrips Parvispinus Karnz) infesting chilli under open field conditions

Abstract:

The present experiment was conducted during the summer season of 2024, in open field of farmer in the Kolhapur District (Maharashtra) with the objective to study the bioefficacy of some pesticides against new invasive black thrips (Thrips parvispinus Karnz) infesting chilli under open field conditions. The study revealed that after three sprays at fortnightly interval, Spinetoram 11.70% EC was found to be the most effective treatment in managing the invasive black thrips on chilli under open field conditions and was followed by Fipronil 5% SC and Cyantraniliprole 10.26% OD.
