Abstract:

A study was conducted at the Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, VNMKV, Parbhani during 2024-25 to find out efficacy of different ready-mixed fungicides and plant extracts against A. macrospora caused boll rot in cotton under in vitro condition. In laboratory study among ready-mixed fungicides, Carbendazim 12% +Mancozeb 63% WP, Hexaconazole 4% + Zineb 68% WP, Tebuconazole 50% + Trifloxystrobin 25% WG, Azoxystrobin 18.2% + Difenoconazole 11.4% SC, Azoxystrobin 11% + Tebuconazole 18.2% SC and Pyraclostrobin 5% + Metiram 55% WGat both concentrations (1500 ppm and 2000 ppm) completely inhibited the mycelial growth. Among plant extracts, Garlic bulb extract was found most significant with highest mycelial growth inhibition of the test pathogen i.e 100 per centat both the concentrations.
