Abstract:

The field experiment was conducted during Rabi season of 2023-24 at Agricultural Research Farm, R.B.S. College, Bichpuri, Agra (U.P.) to evaluated the’ Effect of potassium levels on productivity and profitability of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties. The experiment was laid out in a factorial randomized block design with three replications, treatment consisted of three wheat varieties (HD 2967, DBW 187 and RAJ 3765) and four potassium levels (0, 20, 40, and 60 kg K2O ha-1). The results indicated that the wheat variety DBW187 demonstrated significantly enhanced yield attributes such as no of spikes m-1 (98.55), no of grains spike-1 (41.61), and test weight (39.63 g), compared to HD2967 and RAJ3765. Likewise, the highest grain yield (54.20 q ha-1), biological yield (135.05 q ha-1) and net returns (Rs.111876.71 ha-1) and benefit-cost ratio (3.11) were recorded with the application of 60 kg K2O ha-1 and the variety DBW187.
