The experiment was conducted at School of Agricultural Sciences, JRNRVU, Dabok, Udaipur during Rabi season 2023-24. The experiment consisted of four nitrogen levels (100,75,50 and 25% RDN) and five levels of foliar spray (No spray, one spray NU 3mlL-1, two spray NU 3mlL-1,one spray 2% urea and two spray 2% urea). Foliar sprays were done at initiation of flowering and capsule development stage. Treatments were evaluated under split plot design with three replications. Linseed variety Kota Alsi-2 was sown on 6th November 2023. The results revealed that the maximum growth attribute (number of branches plant-1 and dry matter accumulation plant-1) and yield attributes (capsule plant-1, seeds capsule-1, 1000 seeds weight and seed yield plant-1) were recorded with the application of 100% RDN which were at par with 75 and 50% RDN. The maximum seed yield (1749 kg ha-1) was obtained with 100% RDN which was significantly higher over 25% RDN but comparable to 75 and 50% RDN. Similar trends were also observed with respect to straw and biological yield. The maximum nitrogen content in seed and straw and it uptake by the crop, oil content as well as yield was also observed with 100% RDN which significantly over superior 25% RDN. The lowest NUE (1.10) was observed under 100% RDN. Application of 100% RDN fetched the maximum net return (103324₹ ha-1) and B: C (2.83). Foliar sprays of nano urea and urea failed to bring about significant variation in all growth and yield attributes and yield. Foliar spray treatment also did not influence biochemical parameters and economic of the crop.
