A field experiment was conducted during Rabi 2024-25 at the Agriculture Research Farm Agricultural, Mewar University, Gangrar, Chittorgarh. The experiment consisted of four varieties (DWRB- 52, DWRB-160, DWRB-182, and RD 2849), Three Nitrogen level (60, 90, 120 Kg ha-1), thereby making twelve treatment combinations. The experiment was laid out in a factorial randomized block design with three replications.
The results showed that varieties significantly increase in plant growth characters viz., Plant height (cm, Leaf area index Yield (kg plot-1), Straw yield (q ha-1), Husk content (%), Protein content (%). Further, varieties gave significantly higher grain yield by variety RD-2849 gave grain yield of 3394.00 kg ha-1 which was significantly higher net returns by 25.04, 15.12 and 4.82% and B: C ratio by 17.60, 9.48 0.79% higher over varieties DWRUB-52, DWRB-160 and DWRB-182.
The results showed that nitrogen significantly increase in plant growth characters viz., Plant height (cm, Leaf area index Grain yield (kg/plot), Straw yield (q/ha), Husk content (%), Protein content (%) Further, nitrogen level gave significantly higher grain yield by application of 120 kg N ha-1 gave grain yield of 3197.75 kg ha-1, which was significantly higher kg ha-1 which was significantly higher net returns increased net returns by 7.23 and 2.11 per cent over 60 and 90 kg N ha-1 levels, respectively and B: C ratio by 5.63 and 1.25 per cent higher over varieties DWRUB-52, DWRB-160 and DWRB-182.
