Aquaculture is a key contributor to global food security, but efficient farm management is essential facing challenges such as water quality degradation, and inefficient resource utilization for sustainability and productivity. Traditional monitoring methods, which rely on manual labor and periodic sampling, can be time-consuming, costly, and prone to human error. Unmanned technologies work under principle of automization (Newell & Simon, 1956) including drones, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), remote sensing, and Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled sensors, are transforming aquaculture farm monitoring by providing real-time, high-resolution data.
