A review study on cultivation of cultivars in hydroponic (Ebb and flow) technique

Abstract:

As time has progressed, we have identified significant climate changes in the environment that negatively impact cultivar yield. Concurrently, the fast increase in population and the constant reduction in soil property have increased the requirement for alternative agricultural techniques. Soilless has appeared as a highly effective and eco-friendly technique under such situations, allowing optimized cultivar yield without dependency on soil. During the review study work, different soilless methods were studied, such as the nutrient film technique, ebb and flow technique, deep water culture, deep floating system, wick method, drip system, trench technique, grow bag system, hanging bag system, pot method, and aeroponics. Among these, the NFT was identified as highly effective in terms of efficiency and yield. Furthermore, various foreign cities, ebb and flow, and NFT methods have been properly applied in green wall systems. The soilless method has also been used in space research, where various models have been created to increase its efficiency under regulated environments. In the upcoming time, soilless farming can have a powerful capacity to function as a sustainable optional method to conventional cultivation. Its incorporation with space farming, precision agriculture, and engineering can open new ways for creation and viable agricultural advancement.
